Children of Truth

Description

Just a few hundred years ago, the average lifespan of human beings was only 20~30 years. Three out of ten infants died before they became one year old. About half [of children] died before the age of ten. The reason was diseases and symptoms such as smallpox, the measles, malaria, cholera, dysentery, diarrhea, pneumonia, and septicemia. Humankind did not know the causes of these diseases for a long time. At best, they assumed the cause was the curse of a demon or bad air. However, later on, they discovered that most diseases human beings contract are caused by ‘microorganisms.’

‘Edward Jenner’ inoculated people for smallpox in order to prevent it. Later on, knowing that all contagious diseases are caused by bacteria, ‘Louis Pasteur’ discovered the principle of vaccination and also found out how immunity develops within the human body. With the study of ‘Alexander Fleming,’ PENICILLIN, the first antibiotic, was researched and it was made for common use by ‘Florey’ and ‘Chain.’

When they produced penicillin through study and injected it [in them], people came to live longer.

It is the same with truth also.
